Background
Dr. Michael C. Weiss completed his undergraduate education at the University of Florida, attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University and finished with his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Michigan State University.
Following Residency, Dr. Weiss joined Lauderdale Orthopedic Surgeons in South Florida, where he, along with several partners, expanded the practice to include four offices and an ambulatory surgery center. While there, Dr. Weiss established himself as a leading expert in the field of Orthopedics.
During this time, Dr. Weiss also worked at Nova Southeastern University as an Assistant Professor in Orthopedic Surgery. In 2001, he was awarded the title of Fellow in the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics for exemplary care, service and contribution to the specialty. He also served as president of the Broward County Orthopedic Society as well as serving on the Board of Trustees for the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.
In 2006, Dr. Weiss was recruited to work for Laser Spine Institute in Tampa. The professor once again became the student and completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. Dr. Weiss was named the Chief of Surgery and led the expansion of Laser Spine Institute. In 2011, he was promoted to Chairman of the Department of Surgery. In this leadership role, he helped Laser Spine Institute become the national leader in minimally invasive spine surgery, opening seven centers throughout the United States.
Dr. Weiss returned to his hometown in South Florida in 2021 as Chief of Surgery and Chief Medical Officer for iRISE Spine and Joint, leading the expansion of nine orthopedic spine centers and more than 15 chiropractic clinics.
In January 2025, Dr. Weiss decided to return to his roots, and he founded Oracle Spine and Orthopedics. This private practice is dedicated to the care and treatment of patients with spinal injuries. Dr. Weiss practices through a multi-faceted approach with an initial focus on conservative care, interventional techniques and regenerative medicine. When surgery is indicated, he brings experience in nearly 10,000 minimally invasive spinal surgeries.

Monica Ramirez
Medical Assistant
Monica Ramirez is the newest addition to the Oracle Spine Family. Monica hails
from California, where she attended Bakersfield College, earning an AA Degree, as
well as certification in Coding & Billing. Monica continued her education with a
degree in Medical Administration and a certificate as an M.A.
Through Monicas experience working in Family Practice, she developed strong
Clinical and Administrative skills. Now, Monica is applying those skills to our
Orthopedic Surgery Practice at Oracle Spine. Monica is a compassionate care
giver, dedicated to providing top quality care to every patient at Oracle. We are
excited to have her as a member of the Team!
Gabby Fein
Practice Manager
Gabby Fein serves as the Practice Manager at Oracle Spine and Orthopedics, a specialized medical practice dedicated to spine and orthopedic surgery, as well as comprehensive back-related care. In her role, Gabby is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, ensuring that administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently while supporting both the surgical team and staff.
Her responsibilities include office management, patient scheduling, financial coordination, bookkeeping, accounting, and general administrative support. With a strong focus on organization, communication, and operational excellence, Gabby plays an important role in maintaining a professional, patient-centered environment and contributing to the overall success of the practice.
